Files are up. Windows version is complete with folder structure, exe, & TR Mod Map Pack but Mac version I am not sure about installation. Someone Mac savvy check it out please & write some instructions if necessary.
People wishing to make scenarios for other Mods will need to download the respective Mod Map Pack for SD elsewhere. Alternatively, any other Mod can contact me with their Map Pack & I will host it.

Report any problems please. |

Ok.
Installation Instructions For Mac
Open the zip file and put the Scenario Designer in the same folder you had your previous Scenario Designer in. (It should have a folder inside the whichever folder you put it in called 'editor_data')
Now I got this a long time ago when the TW website (and the TR website) had the scenario designer modpack available for download. Now that it doesn't, I don't know where you'd get it...
Edit: Got it now. If you're a new Mac User and don't have the 'editor_data' folder, download the windows version, unpack the .zip file, open the 'Scenario Designer' folder and put the Mac-version of the scenario designer in the folder. (you should delete the 'Scenario Designer.exe' as this is for windows and is of aboslutely no use to a mac user)
And there you go. You can now start cranking out scenarios for TR (don't know if you can download the modpacks for other mods; RS was the only other one I found and it doesn't even work...)
But really, the mac download should have the whole Scenario Designer folder in it. Not fair to mac users!! (not really) |

For the Mac version I just zipped up my SD app and uploaded it. That is why it is different than the Windows version. |

Many thanks for the files! Unfortunantly for me, there is no Wake Island (a few hundred miles too far from the map edge I'm afraid ), so I'll have to switch my projected project to a different island. |

Hmm. A wake Island invasion scenario (I guess using some random TR island as a substitute) might be pretty interesting... |

A note on the small atoll battles...
There is perhaps something to be said for messing with some isolated sea areas of a map, and placing things like Midway, Truk, Wake, et. al there. It's not "historically accurate"... but, if scenarios are written such that other land masses (that would give away the "inaccurate location") did not appear or come into play on the map... well, who's the wiser? Nobody but the scenario author, that's who!!!
The Target:Midway map is an excellent candidate for this. Make a map maybe 300 nautical miles square, and place the various islands far enough apart to create lots of fleet maneuver or search room. Then, write the scenarios to narrow the search areas somewhat so that players aren't likely to "search in the wrong direction and find an island that shouldn't be there".
By the way, the Target:Midway project was started by Fujita. I have created a US Navy F2A3 Brewster Buffalo for it, along with a custom cockpit with viewing ports in the floor. It'd be a shame never to use it...
I think I will be using "terrain tactics" like this in Target:Corregidor. The Marianas are east of my map, and not covered by Target:Rabaul either. But, I'll bet I can get that island group and "stash it" off in an unused corner of the map... |

Haha; that'll work perfectly fine! (I won't tell )
But why make a whole seperate mod just for midway? The TR site says that TR will be covering all of that. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I was just wondering.
But wait...
If you have a seperate mod, wouldn't you need a seperate server? There's good and bad to that. The good is, If you have a favorite scenario on TR, the chances of that scenario being on are greater, the less scenarios there are as a whole, the larger chance that your scenario might be on; but at the same time, you might have a favorite scenario from "Target:Midway". The bad would be having to buy another server of course, but also that it would split up the already limited TW community. |

So I haven't discovered anything new with the scen-designer and the 'changes.txt' doesn't have anything for .38 ...
What's different about it? |

Just some quick bug fixes by Yak & how SD looks up TW folders. I have found it much more stable than older versions. |

Hmmm.... "more stable"... maybe I'll take a gander at it... in my experience, I'll take "it actually boots up" as 'more stable'... |

As we have discussed before, this is likely no problem of the SD, but one of your own system. Give it a go & I will help with any problems. |

I can't download the SD, download stops before it's complete. Sometimes on 9MB, sometimes on 7MB, and sometimes even earlier. I have tried many times...
BTW Welcome back everybody, haven't been here for a while, real life duties, almost forget how to fly, especially land, but now I'm back and I have a new crate (TW looks much better in high detail and with 100km visibility ) and I wanted try to do something by myself for TW, apart from testing. |
