Anyone know the story behind the extra window frames that appeared from the B25C model onwards, sometimes on pilots side only, at other times on both sides, variation seemed not specific to mark.
Possibly a post delivery mod to correct an issue? |

Looks like this:
B version: simple middle frame on windshield
late C onwards: tripple frames on windshield (maybe to hold thinker bullet proov glas?)
Assault aircraft: Additional frame on pilot side only to hold armor, whis goes up halfway on lieft side of windshield. |

I have images of two vertical frames offset not always tripple as seems logical. Some also with horizontal frame left side only and no armor, some with both sides horizontal frame and armor left only? B models seems the only one consistent with no extra frames seen. Perhaps the extra glass not needed in those attack models and we see offset two frames for single seat models retrofitted?
Variation in retro fits is all I can think of?
I'll vary the 3D according to images I have.

Sick is well into the new physics lua models testing so it shouldn't be long before I can start learning that process as well.
PS hows the PBY coming along? |

Wouldnt those windowconstruction with a tiled layout be older than the ones that look like molded plexi glas ?

It appears not MP, like Dughor pointed out the early models are clean, the later attack models are many frames extra.
Dughors logical conclusion that I agree with is: this is likely armor glass fitting to later models (post C). This required fitting variation defined by a two seat (bomber) or single seat attack models. With some retro fit installations blending the two.
As you can tell, I'm working on the B25s 3D, might see what I can get done paint wise, she has shitty 512 x 512 internal textures.
Does anyone know who did this original B25? |
